1. Let’s take a ride around the lake. Nothing better to start a new roll of film!

2. On this kind shot you can see how good your lens is. Mine is set to 28mm which is considerated wide-angle and if you look the line that separates the lake and the rest of the frame, it’s clear nothing but a line. But I didn’t took that shot for that, of course, I wasn’t even aware at that time. :)

3. I decided to snap some shots while riding my bike. Blurry shots give motion, which can be interesting. Swings!

4. Still riding my bike, you cannot swim in the lake!

5. More than taking photographs, it has been a real sport to hold the camera while staying in balance. Yes, I kind of like to live dangerously. :p

6. Another time, another place; this is the Volkswagen Beetle my dad is trying to build up! He had another one previously, but unfortunately had an accident with it. The car is now unuseable… which is sad. So he bought a new one that needs to be reassembled. It’s quite a lot of work. This was just after the indoors painting job.

7. Yes, it’s far from being a simple job, the part that is just under the “engine’s roof” has been a pain in the arse to fix on the rest of the body. Flash was ON for the shot.

8. Talking about painting, this is my room just after I painted the walls that use to be pale green and pale yellow but in the horizontal way. It’s a bit messy and the light coming from the window is clearly over-exposed, enjoy some Polaroids on the wall and a photo of baby me.

9. Here is the fun fair that takes place at Place des Quinconces, in Bordeaux. There were a rainbow and a pretty girl smiling. I couldn’t resist saving that instant.

10. La grande roue. What I love in that one is the “vintage” effect on the bottom part of the photo. The colours are faded and dark, which is strange when you see a full blue sky! Maybe the Sun was hiding behind me?

11. Bonjour Nantes ! That town is great. I won’t be able to summarize it with that frame and the next one because I was there for less than a day but a friend made a tour for me and I really enjoyed this French city. A lot is happening here, it’s dynamical, fresh, young, colorful, with a great story. Worth visiting, for sure!

12. Enjoying the view with my friend, Rémi. He’s currently traveling through Europe & Asia to join Japan from Nantes. If you are interested in following him and one of his friends, here you go: http://lespetitsbeurresen.voyage/accueil/ :D

14. Here is Lady Sundae, she’s a French cosplayer I met while I was at the university. That was simply the biggest cosplay I’ve seen so far… and believe me, she wasn’t able to move easily, and pass through doorways. ^^ Follow her job & cosplays on : https://www.facebook.com/Ladysundae.gaming/

15. Here’s my first music family portrait on film with, from left to right: my Squier Bulletstrat electric guitar, a Fender SuperChamp XD tube amplifier and a Big Muff distorsion pedal above, a Yamaha SW-P130 sub-woofer, and my Cort GB34A electric bass guitar. Don’t they look great? :D

16. “You shoot me, I shoot you.” — With film, of course.

Camera: Minolta Dynax 500si & Sigma 28-80mm AF lens
Film: Agfa CT Precisa 100 ISO #001 — development courtesy by OldSchoolPhotoLab.com

Story of the roll: This is my first 35mm slide film ever… And it’s one of the cheapest available today, compared to Fujifilm’s prices. What is funny is that it’s apparently made by Fujifilm themselves. But anyway, for the price, that film is gorgeous. The levels of colours and details amaze me! I’ve been really lucky about the exposure (using an automatic camera anyway haha), because it’s told that slide film has a small latitude exposition rate. Well, I only got four shots that are over-exposed, but still, it’s good. I like the Agfa CT Precisa film and I intend to shoot a lot, as long as it’s still available. Slides are exciting. To me it’s the best way today to photograph color AND LIGHT. No digital shot can equalize the beauty of a transparency seen on a white wall using a projector.
